2021 Best & Brightest EMBAs: Iris Depaz, IMD Business School

Dr Iris Depaz has been appointed as Country Medical Lead for Sanofi in Australia and New Zealand. She will step into the role retaining her
current position as Head of Medical for Sanofi Pasteur in Australia and New Zealand.

Dr Depaz obtained her PhD in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Queensland and conducted post-doctoral research in the area of neuronal drug metabolism and alcohol dependency. She received her EMBA with Honours from the IMD Business School in Lausanne and was recently recognised as 2021 Best & Brightest amongst her class.

Dr Depaz has held multiple senior medical roles across Australia and oversees. She joined Sanofi in 2015, originally as Global Head of the MSL Center for Excellence based in Lyon, France. She became Sanofi Pasteur’s Head of Medical for Australia and New Zealand in 2021.

As Country Medical Lead, Dr Depaz will oversee Sanofi’s local Real World Evidence, Medical Information, and Medical Meetings and Transparency teams. She will also steer
relevant whole of Medical team initiatives supporting medical teams embedded in each of Sanofi’s pharmaceutical and vaccines business units.
